Hi there tami!
You asked me a question on my blog... you asked where i get my etchant solution. I use Ferric Chloride. I got my etchant solution at a computer parts supply store (for people who DIY their own computers). They sell it there because it is the acid they use to etch copper computer chips or whatever.
If you feel like something else more hardcore, i have been seeing websites discussing 'steampunking' (not the cultural style, but a etching technique). I don't know anything about it myself but if you google it you should be able to get more info.
